Deeviations

~ my space to be; as I deviate into the dark unwritten sky, trailing constellations of letters behind ~

I am a nocturnal writer. a solitary writer. Nighttime is my time.

Inspiration sets in when the sun sets down, when the sky turns a haunting shade of black – it’s my time for my secret tryst with words and thoughts. My 'fictional' quill and ink does the rest like a loyal shadow...

Like the perched owl within the dark forest looking for its prey, I embark on a midnight journey of writing... hunting for my nocturnal words. They are out there waiting to be plucked like stars out of the night sky... like silvery leaves off the sleeping trees... they are out there *silent* but there.

In the enthralling hours of darkness; reading thru my thoughts and capturing words... two persons surface from within me – the writer and the critic. They contrast, they compare, they clash, they concur. Sweet Triumph. A moment absolutely satiating... and the lingering bliss of it all as the words string together to become my next 'penned thought'!  :)

“The maker of a sentence launches out into the infinite and builds a road into Chaos and old Night, and is followed by those who hear him with something of wild, creative delight.”  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Twisha is so right :) You're great with words Dee :)

:)Wow you have a time where you can connect with the words and create that mood to write. I don't know.. I can't say a time of the day.. but yes, there is a certain mood that makes me write.

Wow! We both have something in common now. I don't know how the words starts flowing within me during midnight that are dormant during the daytime :D

You have a wonderful blog dee :)
The pics are really cool!
All the best :)

Splendid words! Very beautiful post ...

I think, a lot of bloggers/writers will connect to it. As the day ends and the calmness of night spreads, the incoherent activities which our mind is subjected to whole day rests and it thinks, what it wants to think, it says...what it wants to say... and then the thoughts are put into words..in a manner which is more like music. It satisfies us. It spreads beauty among others. And the critic, which is inside all of us, questions the words at every step...in the process redefining and refining it! :)

I love, love the quote and ditto Kunal. Though I am too tired to write in the night, I am sure most readers agree because half my updates pop up from them middle of the night. :D
And words and you have a beautiful relation .. Respect!

@Kunal - Absolutely.. and I love the way you put it! True nocturnal writer.. and yes the universal fight with the 'hard to please' critic within.. :)
